Using a portable power station is relatively simple, but there are a few things you need to be aware of during use to ensure it works properly and lasts for years to come. Let's take a look at some of the methods from Decent Power manufacturers.

01. Turn off all outputs when not in use.

When storing a portable power station, make sure it is not turned on and its ports are not active.

02. Store in a cool and dry environment
The environment has a significant impact on the life of the portable power station. Although the Hollis solar power station is durable, it is still an electronic device, so please keep it away from water. You should store it in a dry, well-ventilated environment away from direct sunlight, such as a dry basement; do not store it near a heat source, such as a furnace or fireplace. Ideally, the humidity in the room should be regulated and maintained between 35%-65%.

03. Store and use at optimal temperature
Temperature is a key factor of the environment and may be the most important consideration when storing or using a solar power station. Decent Power portable power banks use lithium iron phosphate batteries, which can withstand higher temperatures than lithium-ion batteries. The optimal operating temperature of lithium-ion batteries is up to 25°C, while lithium iron phosphate batteries can operate at temperatures up to 48°C without degradation. It should be noted that lithium iron phosphate batteries do not perform well in extremely low temperatures. To ensure their safety and stability, please avoid using them in environments below 0°C. When storing solar power station for a long time, it is best to place them in a stable environment with a temperature range of 15°C to 35°C.

04. Charge to 100% after use
One of the advantages of lithium iron phosphate batteries is that they have a stable charge state regardless of their current capacity level. Even so, it is best to fully charge the portable power bank before storing it. Due to the self-discharge of lithium batteries, we recommend keeping the capacity of the Hollis portable power bank at around 50% or higher. Recharge the battery to 100% every 3 months so that the battery performance can remain optimal.

05. Check the remaining capacity regularly
Regularly checking the condition of the battery power station is an important way to maintain its service life. It is recommended to check the capacity once a week to ensure that the battery is healthy and fully charged.

06. Follow the manufacturer's instructions

To ensure that your battery power station works properly and has a long service life, be sure to follow the manufacturer's instructions for use and maintenance.
